Fiberglass Flanges

Fiberglass flanges are indispensable key connecting components in fiberglass piping systems, used to connect and seal pipe sections to each other, and pipe sections to valves, pumps, or other equipment. Designed for corrosive and demanding environments, fiberglass flanges offer a superior alternative to traditional metal flanges due to their lightweight structure, high strength, and excellent chemical resistance.

Products Description

Fiberglass flanges, also known as FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) flanges, are essential components used in piping systems to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment.

Designed for corrosive and demanding environments, fiberglass flanges offer a superior alternative to traditional metal flanges due to their lightweight structure, high strength, and excellent chemical resistance.

Our fiberglass pipe flangess are manufactured with advanced composite technology and comply with international standards, ensuring long-term performance and reliability.

Fiberglass flanges are indispensable key connecting components in fiberglass piping systems, used to connect and seal pipe sections to each other, and pipe sections to valves, pumps, or other equipment.

Types of Fiberglass Flanges

There are two main types of fiberglass flanges, which differ in structure and performance:

1. Integral Flange

Advantages:

Highest strength: Integral molding, good structural integrity, and strong load-bearing capacity.

No leakage path: Avoids the bonding interface, resulting in extremely high sealing reliability.

Good fatigue resistance: Better able to withstand vibration and pressure fluctuations.

2. Adhesive Flange / Loose Flange

Manufacturing process: The flange is manufactured separately from the pipe, and then a high-strength adhesive is used to bond the flange to the outer wall of the pipe.

Advantages:

Flexible manufacturing and high production efficiency.

Lower cost.

Loose flanges facilitate alignment of bolt holes.

Summary

Fiberglass flanges are a precision and critical component in fiberglass piping systems. It perfectly inherits the corrosion-resistant properties of fiberglass, but its successful application depends heavily on proper selection (wound vs. bonded) and extremely standardized installation procedures (especially cross-tightening of bolts and torque control). When selecting and using it, it must be treated as a systems engineering project, not just a simple connector, to ensure the long-term, safe, and leak-free operation of the entire piping system.
