1. Fixed-length winding process and equipment
This is the most common and widely used fiberglass pipe production technology, especially suitable for large-diameter pipes.
Core equipment: Fixed-length winding machine
Process flow:
Under controlled temperature and tension conditions, continuous glass fibers (such as untwisted roving, surface mat, knitted mat, etc.) impregnated with resin are wound onto a rotating mandrel according to a preset layer structure and angle. After curing, demolding, and post-processing, the finished product is obtained.
Main equipment components: winding machine , resin supply system , mandrel , curing system , demolding system , auxiliary equipment ( cutting machine , grinding machine , hydrostatic testing machine , lining equipment )
Advantages: High product strength, flexible specifications (diameter, length, wall thickness, and angle adjustable), and wide applicability . Disadvantages: Non-continuous production; the length of a single pipe is limited by the mandrel.
2. Continuous winding process and equipment
This is a highly efficient and automated production method, which is particularly suitable for large-scale production of standard-sized small- and medium-diameter pipes.
Core equipment: Continuous winding production line
Process flow:
A rotating steel belt mandrel is used to continuously wind resin-impregnated glass fibers onto the mandrel as the belt travels. The pipe cures during travel and is then continuously cut to the required length.
Main equipment composition
Steel strip forming system , winding station , resin impregnation system , curing system , cutting system , control system
Advantages: Extremely high production efficiency, automated continuous production, stable quality, and low labor costs.
Disadvantages: High equipment investment, inflexible product specification conversion, and complex initial setup.
