Products Description
Fiberglass pressure tanks are among the most technologically advanced and demanding fiberglass products in terms of design and manufacturing requirements. They must not only withstand the weight of the medium under static conditions but also operate safely under internal pressure.
Using fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) as the primary material, they are sealed containers used for storing or handling pressurized fluids (gases, liquids). Their design and manufacturing must adhere to stringent pressure vessel standards (such as ASME X, NB/T 47012).
I. Manufacturing Process
Fixed-length winding is the most important and advanced process for manufacturing fiberglass pressure vessels.
Process: Under the control of a computer numerical control (CNC) system, continuous resin-impregnated fibers are precisely wound onto a rotating mandrel according to a preset line shape and thickness, followed by curing and demolding.
II. Core Features:
High specific strength: Lightweight yet with high pressure resistance.
Excellent corrosion resistance: Resistant to various chemical media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, eliminating the need for linings and anti-corrosion coatings.
Design flexibility: Different winding angles can be designed as needed to optimize stress distribution.
Excellent insulation: Non-conductive, with good thermal insulation properties.
Low maintenance cost: Long service life, requiring minimal maintenance.
III. Main Application Areas
Chemical Industry: Various acid, alkali, and salt storage tanks, reaction vessels, extraction towers, and washing towers.
Water Treatment Industry: Reverse osmosis (RO) system pressure vessels, ion exchange tanks, and softened water tanks.
Environmental Protection Industry: Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, waste gas absorption towers, and wastewater treatment equipment.
Paper Industry: Bleaching agent (ClO₂) and pulp storage tanks.
Metallurgy, power, food, pharmaceutical, and many other industrial sectors.
