Chemical Industry
Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) products are widely used in the chemical industry due to their excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight yet high strength, and good insulation properties, primarily in the following areas:
- Storage Equipment: FRP products can be used to store various corrosive media, including acids, alkalis, salt solutions, and organic solvents. Examples include FRP storage tanks and containers.
- Conveying Equipment: FRP pipes and fittings (such as elbows and flanges) are crucial equipment for conveying corrosive fluids in the chemical industry. The smooth inner walls of these pipes reduce fluid resistance, minimizing energy consumption. They are also wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and have a long service life, making them suitable for conveying chemical raw materials, wastewater, and waste liquids.
- Tower Equipment: FRP absorption towers, scrubbing towers, and cooling towers play a vital role in gas purification, absorption, and cooling processes in chemical production.
