Seawater Desalination Project
FRP pipes are widely used in desalination projects, primarily in the following areas:
Seawater transportation:
During the long-distance seawater extraction process at desalination plants and the transportation of this extracted seawater to pretreatment systems, FRP pipes, with their corrosion resistance, smooth interior, and low fluid resistance, prevent corrosion-related leaks and ruptures, improving seawater transportation efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
Concentrated brine discharge and post-treatment: The large amount of highly corrosive concentrated brine produced during seawater desalination can be transported to designated discharge areas via fiberglass pipelines. These pipelines are resistant to the corrosion of concentrated brine, preventing leakage and environmental pollution. Simultaneously, during the transportation of desalinated water to storage facilities or water supply systems, fiberglass pipelines prevent secondary pollution of the freshwater, ensuring water quality.
